As colleges open a lot of people wonder if I-phone will save
on long distance.
They need a place to test the technology and get help.
People want and need a place to meet - test communications,
form groups they feel secure with, rather than call strangers.
The old
/talk/ with a timer set at about 30 sec. is great as a CLUB ROOM where
people leave their IP # and the time to call. I don't like being called
very much - I am usually doing something and it gets in the way. I will
only do it until the groups take off on their own with people that WANT
to be called, test technology, and actually communicate. If you don't know
what a IP# means, or what is IRC, or FTP, etc. this is the place to learn.
